Monroe County Land Trails

The Mark Worrell Trail is a paved trail on West Elm Avenue that gives users an up-close view of the River Raisin from Veteran's Park to Worrell Park. Shore fishing is plentiful along this beautiful scenic vista, beautiful gardens and benches give trail users a place to enjoy the beauty of nature. The River Raisin Heritage Trail is eight miles of paved hike-bike trails that provide safe and scenic routes to walk, run, cycle, and in-line skate. Winding along the River Raisin, places of interest include the River Raisin National Battlefield, Sterling State Park, the Monroe Multi-Sports Complex, several historic landmarks, St. Mary's Park, and Veteran's Park. The Munson Park Trail offers trail bikers and hikers a chance to experience natural habitat on rugged, unpaved trails from 6 am-10 pm daily. Miles of trails meander through woods and open meadow.
