After leaving Detroit, hikers on the Iron Belle Trail will pass through the communities of River Rouge, Ecorse, Wyandotte, Riverview, Trenton, Grosse Ile Township, Gibraltar, Brownstown Township, Rockwood and Flat Rock before exiting Downriver on their way towards Ann Arbor, the 1000 mile long North Country National Scenic Trail and on to Ironwood in Michigan's Upper Peninsula.
